I cannot think of many nicer places to go for a very civilised, still relaxed lunch with an adjoined al fresco area. Settembrini Restaurant is a neighbourhood place but quite popular with the suit wearing crowd and well-healed ladies, close to Metro Lepanto and a short walk from Villa Borghese..
And now for the food, our hearts longed for a light start with a crunchy salad with lamb’s lettuce, raw celery and raw salmon.
Then we remain healthy but become a bit more carby with a “Farro, asparagus & squid salad”.
Hmmmm and lastly we go for a seriously massive pasta. The menu noted a 20 minute prep time. I have no idea what the chef did in those 20 minutes with the pasta but it was so worth it. I’ve never had such a good, simple pomodoro, olive pasta with capers..
For dessert, we opted for simple “Fragole con crema” and a mini tiramisu to take away..
